Isa Dahl

Beyond the Surface

27 July – 1 December 2019

RAUM
Small Exhibition Hall

Dynamic brushstrokes and an almost plastic application of paint characterise Isa Dahl’s painting.

With these painterly means, she creates cascades of light reflections that transform her abstract paintings into visual spaces full of plasticity, depth and colourfulness. She has created an ensemble of paintings especially for the Small Temporary Exhibition Hall of the Kunstmuseum Heidenheim, which is now being presented to the public for the first time.

Isa Dahl, who was born in Ravensburg and studied at the art academies in Stuttgart and Düsseldorf, has received numerous prizes and scholarships, including the Karl Schmidt-Rottluff Scholarship and the Villa Romana Prize in Florence. She lives and works as a freelance painter in Stuttgart.
