The exhibition features works by artist Luke Carter in the mediums of woodcut, painting, and drawing, as well as a mural created specifically for the Kunstmuseum Heidenheim. Queer life and love are at the heart of the British-born artist’s work. Drawing on personal experiences and encounters, Carter often translates intimate moments into colorful compositions characterized by clear forms, sharp edges, and a visual language reminiscent of hard-edge painting. In this way, the exhibition combines personal narratives with a powerful, graphic aesthetic.

Luke Carter (born in 1991 in the United Kingdom) studied illustration in Bristol. In 2018, he moved to Germany to study at the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig, where he is currently a master’s student. In addition to his own artistic work, he creates large-scale street art projects and murals and leads creative workshops.
