Small Exhibition Hall
#FROMHERE 1
Nicoline Koch-Lutz
17 May – 30 June 2024
Municipal museums are usually dedicated to the task of making current and historical developments in art accessible to the citizens of the respective location. In addition, many municipal exhibition venues have the task of presenting and promoting regional art through exhibitions and acquisitions.
Under the title #vonhier, the Kunstmuseum Heidenheim has developed a format with which it fulfills this goal. At irregular intervals, the small temporary exhibition hall becomes a platform for the art of individual players in the Heidenheim art world.
Nicoline Koch-Lutz studied art and art history in Stuttgart. As an art teacher at the Progymnasium in Herbrechtingen, at the Hellenstein Gymnasium and most recently at the Schiller Gymnasium, she taught numerous young people the joy of artistic experimentation with shapes and colors.
Her painting is characterized by intense colours, dense compositions, sometimes arranged on many levels, and her visual positioning between figurative and abstract. There are repeated hints of floral motifs, still life elements or figures, but these usually remain ambiguous, thus focusing on the color tones and contrasts used and inviting the viewer to take a closer look. The exhibition in the small hall of the art museum brings together works from the last few decades and thus provides a highlight-like insight into various phases and working methods of the Crailsheim-born artist.
The public can look forward to a reunion with her carpet series, some painted handbags and an encounter with more recent works.
