Museum Castle Hellenstein
After exhibitions on metals and wood, this year’s special exhibition at Museum Schloss Hellenstein is dedicated to a third sculptural material: paper. As a material, it offers artists a wide range of possibilities: Folding, crumpling, tearing, gluing, riveting… At the same time, paper and cardboard are easily available, space-saving and inexpensive.
The exhibition in the Schlosskirche and the Obervogteisaal comprises 18 artistic positions that illustrate the diversity of the medium. These range from small to room-sized structures, from self-made papers to industrial materials and from abstract to detailed, figurative sculptures.
